Those who are interested in higher education data, at the state and national level, believe that now is the time to plan a national data interoperability initiative.
But, what data should be interoperable? Ignoring for the moment the privacy concerns, let’s just think about what the data shows about students and about their learning. Why build a new national interoperability structure if the data we start with is mis-leading?
We in AAEEBL need to have a voice in how the national interoperable higher education system is created.
